Gardening 365 Festival Marks 10th Year at Wesley Chapel District Park Saturday

WESLEY CHAPEL / PASCO COUNTY, FL — Pasco County's largest gardening festival is celebrating a milestone this weekend. UF/IFAS Extension Pasco County's Master Gardener Volunteers host the 10th Annual Gardening 365 Festival & Plant Sale on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Wesley Chapel District Park, running 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What to Expect

This year's theme, "A Decade in Bloom," marks 10 straight years of the festival running every first Saturday in October. The day centers on plant and retail vendors selling everything from fruit trees to yard art and garden apparel, alongside a live walk-through butterfly exhibit that's become one of the festival's signature draws. Other highlights include a kids zone, ladybug sales, a Touch-A-Truck area, food and drinks, and a silent auction benefiting the Master Gardener Volunteer program. For the first time this year, the festival is also offering a paid rain-barrel workshop.

Master Gardener Volunteers will be on hand throughout the day to answer gardening questions and share Florida-Friendly Landscaping resources, with a "Wanna Know More" area where attendees can get expert advice on new plant purchases or even bring in a struggling plant from home for a diagnosis.

Why It Matters for Wesley Chapel

Admission is free, rain or shine, and proceeds from the silent auction help keep Master Gardener programs free for Pasco County residents year-round. A decade in, this remains one of the few events in Wesley Chapel built specifically around the area's fast-growing community of home gardeners and families looking for a low-cost weekend outing.
