Free Community Trunk or Treat Opens for Families on Post Oak Boulevard

WESLEY CHAPEL / PASCO COUNTY, FL — Local children have a safe, early opportunity to break out their Halloween costumes this week. The Annual Trunk or Treat celebration opens to the neighborhood on Friday, Oct. 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

What to Expect

Hosted at The Learning Experience Wesley Chapel, the completely free neighborhood gathering transforms the secure facility parking lot into a festive autumn walkway. Volunteers will feature creatively decorated vehicle trunks where children can safely trick-or-treat. Beyond collecting candy, the family event includes interactive sensory-safe games, local craft tables, and specialized prize giveaways. Halloween costumes are highly encouraged for all attending children and parents.

Why It Matters for Wesley Chapel

For local parents looking to maximize the holiday spirit while skipping the late-night crowds and traffic of traditional trick-or-treating, the event offers a daytime-aligned, controlled environment. The early-evening timeframe allows families to easily transition from work and school into a fun, safe community setting close to home.
