TAMPA, FL — Tampa's nightlife and fine dining scene just got a genuinely exciting addition. The Sapphire: Lounge & Supper Club has officially opened at 4410 W Boy Scout Boulevard — and it's unlike anything else currently operating in the Tampa Bay area.
Inspired by the golden age of 1950s supper clubs, The Sapphire combines fine dining with live entertainment in a format that has largely disappeared from American dining culture — and is clearly overdue for a comeback. The concept blends an elevated kitchen, a vibrant lounge atmosphere, immersive live performances, and VIP exclusivity into one seamless evening experience.
The Food
Executive Chef Taro Larrea brings a background rooted in Venezuelan and Spanish culinary traditions, resulting in a menu that feels distinctive rather than generic fine dining. The kitchen is designed to complement the entertainment — courses paced to the performance, not rushed in between sets.

Live music is central to the Sapphire experience — not background noise, but curated performances designed to enhance the atmosphere throughout the evening. VIP reservations include access to private and semi-private areas with exclusive entry, giving groups a more intimate setting within the larger venue.

General Manager Stephen Hickey is a Tampa native who previously served as Managing Partner for the inaugural Eddie V's Prime Seafood in Tampa — one of the city's most successful upscale restaurant launches in recent memory.
