Tampa Event: Treat Trot Run

Tampa, FL — If your family is looking for a weekend event that gets everyone off the couch and outside together, the Treat Trot Tampa is worth putting on the calendar. Scheduled for Saturday, June 7, 2026 at Gadsden Park in South Tampa, this community running event is designed to be genuinely inclusive — welcoming everyone from competitive runners to first-timers and young kids.

Tampa Event: Race Options and What's Included

The Treat Trot offers five participation formats to accommodate every age and ability level.

The 5K, 10K, and 15K are all chip-timed with live results and awards. The 1-Mile Fun Run is untimed and open to any age. And the Kids Dash — an untimed sprint for children 10 and under — is free of charge for any child who wants to participate, with or without the swag package.

Every paid registration for the 5K, 10K, and 15K includes a custom bib, designer shirt, custom finisher medal, free finish-line photos, and snacks at the finish area. The 1-Mile registration carries the same package. Kids Dash participants who register receive a mini bib, a youth-sized shirt, and a medal designed specifically for the kids' event.

Pricing and Registration Details

Standard registration for the 5K and 10K is $25.98. Youth pricing for participants 12 and under is $17 for those same distances — a meaningful savings for families entering multiple children.

One deadline matters: register by midnight on the Thursday two weeks before race day to guarantee your shirt. Registrations accepted after that date will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis for remaining inventory.

Race Day Schedule at Gadsden Park

Packet pickup runs from 5:30 to 6:45 a.m. on race morning. The Kids Dash is first at 6:55 a.m., with participants meeting at the start line and being walked out together. The National Anthem plays at 7:00 a.m. immediately before the main race start. Results and awards are live at the registration tent as runners cross the finish line.

The event is held at Gadsden Park, 6901 S. MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33611 — situated along the MacDill Trail on the south side of the city. The park can be reached at (813) 274-8615.

Getting There from Wesley Chapel

Gadsden Park is approximately 30 to 35 minutes from central Wesley Chapel depending on traffic. Given the early packet pickup window, families coming from the north should plan to leave well before 5:30 a.m. to secure parking and get settled before the Kids Dash begins.

The event is organized by Bodies Race Company, which focuses on building affordable, community-centered race experiences. For a fun outdoor morning that works for the whole family — and gets kids moving before the summer heat sets in — the Treat Trot is a solid option within reasonable driving distance of Pasco County.
