In a statement released Monday, Aug. 27, Cobalt Apartments management confirmed that 83 occupied apartments were impacted by the Aug. 20 fire, displacing a total of 167 residents. Pasco County has formally condemned the structure, and management said it is "highly unlikely" that residents will be allowed back inside to retrieve personal belongings, citing structural collapse risks.
