North Tampa Bay Chamber’s Leading Ladies

TAMPA, FL — The North Tampa Bay Chamber brought local professionals together on Friday, October 2, for a special Women’s Health edition of its Leading Ladies Network, combining professional networking with an expert discussion focused on women’s health and wellness.

The event, presented by Orlando Health, was held from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the USF Credit Union New Tampa location at 20610 Bruce B Downs Blvd. The gathering welcomed women from across the Wesley Chapel, New Tampa and greater North Tampa Bay business community for a morning of connection, conversation and education.

The October Leading Ladies program, themed “Women’s Health Panel | Wear Your Pink,” featured physicians from Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health Wiregrass Ranch Hospital.

The panel included Dr. Gina B. Kirkpatrick, a board-certified urologist specializing in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery; Dr. Pastore, Chief of Breast Imaging at Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health; and Dr. Thushy Siva, a general surgeon with a particular interest in breast health and breast disease management.

The discussion encouraged women to think about their own health with the same intention they often bring to their careers, businesses and families. Attendees had an opportunity to learn about women’s health resources and best practices and submit questions anonymously for the physicians.

The conversation was particularly relevant to the rapidly growing Wesley Chapel and North Tampa Bay area. Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health Wiregrass Ranch Hospital is part of the region’s expanding healthcare network and provides medical and surgical services including emergency care, heart and vascular care, radiology, urology, orthopedics and robotic surgery.

More Than a Health Panel: Building Local Connections

The morning was also an opportunity for local professionals, entrepreneurs and business leaders to meet, exchange ideas and strengthen relationships within the North Tampa Bay community.

The North Tampa Bay Chamber describes Leading Ladies as its women’s networking and professional development program, designed to connect women across different industries, backgrounds and career stages. Programming throughout the year includes topics ranging from entrepreneurship and leadership to financial wellness, technology, health and community impact.

Friday’s gathering reflected that mission, bringing together an impressive group of local professionals in a welcoming setting where networking happened alongside an important conversation about personal health.

The event also highlighted the role local organizations can play in creating opportunities for meaningful professional connections as the Wesley Chapel and North Tampa Bay business communities continue to grow.

Special thanks went to Hofi & Haan Mobile Coffee and Whataburger Wesley Chapel, the event’s breakfast and coffee sponsors.

The USF Credit Union New Tampa location provided the conference space for the morning’s program.

For professionals interested in future opportunities to connect, the Leading Ladies Network is one of several recurring networking and professional development programs organized by the North Tampa Bay Chamber.
