Pasco County Government Earns Two 2026 Top Workplaces Awards

WESLEY CHAPEL / PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Pasco County Government has earned two national 2026 Top Workplaces Culture Excellence awards, the county announced Oct. 14. The awards recognize its commitment to Professional Development and Work-Life Flexibility. The Pasco County Mosquito Control District was separately named a 2026 Top Workplace in Tampa Bay.

What the County Won

The two awards come from Top Workplaces, which highlights organizations that excel in specific cultural areas. The county says the awards reflect responses from its annual Energage Workplace Survey. County Administrator Mike Carballa said the awards are “based entirely on employee feedback.”

The county credits its expanding professional development programs, leadership training opportunities and flexible scheduling options. The county also won the 2021 Top Workplaces USA award in the program’s first year.

Mosquito Control District Recognized Too

The Pasco County Mosquito Control District, based in Odessa, was named a 2026 Top Workplace in Tampa Bay. The district says the recognition began with an employee nomination and is based entirely on confidential feedback gathered through an independent employee survey. It says the results reflect employee views on workplace culture, leadership and organizational effectiveness.

The recognition comes as the district handles an expanded response to the dengue outbreak. Recent aerial and truck treatments have covered areas of Pasco, including Wesley Chapel, according to The Pasco Signal’s account of the district’s announcement.

Why It Matters in Wesley Chapel

County employees staff many of the services Wesley Chapel residents use, including libraries, parks, utilities, building permits and animal services. The county says it has dozens of open positions. Job listings are at governmentjobs.com/careers/pasco.
