Pasco's Back-to-School Bus Hotline Opens Monday — Call Before Thursday's First Day to Get Your Child's Route

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — School starts Thursday. If your child rides the bus and you don't know their route or stop yet, Monday is the day to call. Pasco County Schools' Back-to-School Bus Hotline opens Monday, August 11 — three days before the first bell rings on August 13.

The hotline gives parents direct access to transportation staff who can confirm bus routes, stop locations, and pickup and dropoff times for the new school year. With thousands of students across Wesley Chapel boarding buses for the first time this week, getting route information before Thursday morning avoids a stressful scramble on day one.

How to Use the Hotline

Call Pasco County Schools Transportation directly starting Monday morning. Staff will need your child's name, school, and address to pull up their assigned route. If your child's route has changed from last year — which can happen when new neighborhoods open or when school attendance zones shift — this call is especially important.

Also Worth Knowing

Bus routes and stop times can shift slightly in the first week of school as drivers adjust to actual pickup volumes and traffic patterns. If the bus is a few minutes early or late on the first few days, that's normal. Check in again after the first week if timing seems significantly off from what you were told.

If Your Child Doesn't Have a Bus Assignment

Contact your child's school directly — not the transportation hotline — if you believe your child should be eligible for bus service but hasn't received an assignment. Eligibility is based on distance from school and grade level.

📍 Applies to all Wesley Chapel area Pasco County Schools
